ready. set. move.

Ignite your power.

Build a better you.

The Approach.

As a movement exercise specialist, my approach to personal training is different from what you'll find with most fitness trainers. When I create a physical wellness program for a client, I look at everything — from neglected, immobile joints and undeveloped muscles, to limited or excess range of motion, to your anatomical alignment and your overall lifestyle. My whole body approach to personal fitness training is about helping you balance your body, diversify your exercise routine, and move in healthy, efficient ways to reach your goals.

My passion for health and wellness is contagious. You can expect me to give my all, with daily or weekly check-ins, progress reports, and responsive workout adjustments. And I expect you to give your all, too. When you work with me, you get personal attention and a program created just for you. Strength and conditioning, mobility hacks, and nutritional counseling can all be part of the package or a stand alone. My anatomical and alignment-based programs are meant to create a connection between your body and mind.

I can offer this depth of service thanks to my training and education across fitness disciplines. I'm NASM-PES certified, a Functional Range Strength, Mobility and Assessment Specialist, a certified 300-hour yoga instructor, and a Precision Nutrition-certified coach. I practice what I preach, always pushing myself, whether in cycling, running, swimming, cross-training, or life in general.

Virtual & In-Person Private Sessions

I am so glad that a friend recommended Kate Chakey to me. She is incredibly skilled at what she does. I have never worked with anyone so focused and present. She notices things all the time. Her knowledge of the human body combined with her demonstrated interest in working with my particular body continues to impress me. She gives clear and embodied instructions that help me understand what she’s asking of me. She is a lovely combination of serious and playful. Her approach is integrative and functionally oriented. It never feels rote or routine. She is amazing!

Corporate Wellness & Specialty Groups

Weekly sessions with Katie is one of the best employment benefits I’ve ever had! Katie is an excellent instructor both in person and virtually, and really knows how to address discomfort that stems from many hours of sitting at a desk. I have chronic neck and upper back issues, and her classes always leave me feeling much better and stronger. I highly recommend Katie based on my experience of her teaching for a corporate group, but I know she’d be wonderful in any setting.
